中文（臺灣）：名校臺中一中，於大正4年(1915年)由當時中部士紳林烈堂、林熊徵、林獻堂、辜顯榮、蔡蓮舫（創校五先賢）等人創立，原稱為「臺灣公立臺中中學校」，為臺人爭取教育主權之象徵，亦為第一所專為培育臺籍學子所設立之學府，創校紀念碑首二句即為「吾臺人初無中學，有則自本校始。」，於臺灣歷史上佔有極重要的地位。 昭和2年(1927)，文學家巫永福先生考入臺中一中(時年15歲)，當時的校名稱為「臺中州立第一中學」，為五年制學制（約相當於現在的國中二年級到高中三年級的學歷）。這張老照片是巫永福一中時期的入學照，讓我們看見當時的一中制服樣貌。昭和2年5月，臺中一中住宿生發生「炊事事件」，造成學生大罷課的抗爭學潮，巫永福也曾歷經這樣的學運。
