中文（臺灣）：虎尾糖廠於西元1906年（明治39年）創立，當時虎尾鐵橋已經規劃興建，西元1910年（明治43年）虎尾貨物掛（所）通車，已有縱貫火車通車紀錄，並兼辦客運業務。
虎尾鐵橋由英國WestWood公司設計，日本黑板組施工，是1座英日合作的橋樑。鐵橋採用3段高低不等鋼架花樑設計，高者為跨樑，低者為護欄，形成不對稱的階梯構造，並採用高腳鏤空及大墩座連續拱圈的形式。西元1930年代鐵橋架上鋼樑及護欄，西元1953年鐵橋右側加建木板橋，西元1959年八七水災，河堤南岸潰堤，鐵橋南段加建187公尺。虎尾鐵橋為雲嘉地區年代最久遠的糖廠鐵橋，歷史意義深遠。
