中文（臺灣）：旗後天后宮是高雄市歷史最古老的寺廟，創建於明鄭永曆27年(1673)。當時有漁民徐阿華，因遇颱風漂至旗後，見此地為捕魚、定居的好地方，乃回鄉邀集同鄉漁民攜眷前來定居，並隨身迎奉湄洲媽祖來臺，而四處捐緣建祀媽祖宮以為守護神。
