Gottlieb, William P., 1917-, photographer. [Portrait of Max Kaminsky and Dave Tough, Eddie Condon's, New York, N.Y., ca. Dec. 1946] 1 negative : b&w ; 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 in. Caption from Down Beat: Trumpet: Dig Maxie's Guadalcanal horn. He had the thing with him while in service in the Pacific area. That beat-up look of the trumpet was the result of a simple case of exposure. The little man with the rugged horn stayed on at Condon's this month with the regulars while Eddie, himself, was on tour with a pick-up troupe.
