Garns & Co., 526 South Second St., [1881?] 1 photograph : albumen print on card mount ; mount 10 x 6 cm (carte de visite format) Notes: Photograph shows a half-length portrait of Sidney Taliaferro (1854-1927) a former student and protége of Emily Howland. Taliaferro became a teacher, working in Heathsville, Virginia. She married Chester Boyer in 1883. Title devised by Library staff. Date based on inscription. DLC "Sidney Taliaferro 1881"--inscription on back of photograph. DLC Photograph is housed in an album. Album page has decorative gold borders framing the print.
