Description
English: CWGC gravestone of Kenneth Stuart Chalmers (576578) in the churchyard of St Bartholomew, Hanworth, Norfolk, England. Kenneth Chalmers was the son of Son of Andrew James Chalmers, and of Rose Ursula Chalmers, of Hanworth. Chalmers was the Flight Engineer aboard Avro Lancaster L7583 of 207 Squadron. L7583 took of on a raid on 17 October 1942 but had to turn back due to engine trouble at which point the aircraft was attacked by three enemy aircraft. Chalmers was killed in the attack, but the plane made it back to England. He was 19 years old.
