English: Saint Mary’s Church, Aldborough, Norfolk, England, wall mounted monument to John Gay (1749-1814) and his wife Frances Johnson (1753-1838), a daughter of Richard Johnson of Cley (Source: www.stirnet.com [1]). Arms: Gay (Argent, on a fess per pale or and gules between three mullets of six points of the third a demi-lion issuant from the base between two fleurs-de-lis all counterchanged) (Burke, Sir Bernard, The General Armory, London, 1884, p.392, amended to actual image "Gay of Aldborough") impaling Johnson (Gules, three spearheads erect argent a chief ermine) (Burke, p.544 "Johnson of Tower, London, granted 1604"
