Notes
  • Significance: This area was developed in the early to mid-nineteenth century to exploit the nearby "white alum" limestone quarries. Built to house workers at the local lime quarries, this duplex is the only remaining intact frame duplex structure along Railroad Avenue, and is a good local interpretation for the period. It should be noted that the historical significance of this structure is due to its interrelationship with the remainder of the historic district, rather than as an individual structure.
  • Survey number: HABS MD-1001
