Summary edit

Description Catalina Apartments were built on the Brisbane Stevedoring and Wool Dumping Company’s Capricorn Wharf site which dates from the early 1900s. The wharf became an allied submarine and shipping base during the Second World War, later becoming HMAS Moreton North wharves when it was purchased by the Royal Australian Navy in 1982, then renamed Capricorn Wharf when it was purchased by Council in 1988. The former brick engine shed for handling cargo has been retained as the centrepiece of the pocket park which intersects the residential development.
