English: Monument to Victor Emmanuel II, also known as Vittoriano, Imperial Palace and improperly called Altare della Patria (Altar of the Fatherland), designed by Giuseppe Sacconi and produced between 1885 and 1911 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Italian Unity. It was built in honor of King Victor Emmanuel II.
