Summary edit

Description
Eesti: Katse eesmärk on näha kas mesilaste abil saab fungitsiide viia põmesilastallukultuuride õitele.
English: 1. "Pounding rapeseed flowers in a mortar". First photo of the set "An experiment to investigate whether bees can be used to introduce fungicides into crop blooms". The purpose of the test is to find out if bees can be used to introduce fungicides into the blooms of agricultural crops. Prior to the laboratory test described in the photographs herein, the fungicide powder was left in the aperture of the beehive through which the bee walks. The experiment was performed on honeybees, which had previously been successfully tested on bumblebees. Applying pesticides to bees would save bees and the oilseed rape field from over-poisoning, achieve pesticide use and a suitable ecological balance. In the first photo, rapeseed flowers are pounded to prepare them for DNA separation and analysis if the fungicide has reached the rapeseed blossoms.
