Name: Kibbutz Nir Am
Description: Nir Am is a kibbutz in the northwestern Negev, west of Sderot, which belongs to the kibbutz movement. The kibbutz was established in 1943 by the "Nir Haim" group, members of the Gordonia organization who immigrated from Bessarabia

תיאור: ניר עם הוא קיבוץ בנגב הצפוני-מערבי, ממערב לשדרות, המשתייך לתנועה הקיבוצית. הקיבוץ הוקם בט"ו בשבט 1943 על ידי קבוצת "ניר חיים", חברי ארגון גורדוניה שעלו מבסרביה
הערות: הקבוצה התגבשה בגבעת הקיבוצים ליד רחובות ולאחר מכן ליד קריית ביאליק. בשנים שלאחר מכן הצטרפו לקיבוץ גם עולים מארגנטינה ומצרפת. הקיבוץ הוקם על אדמות מבית חאנון שרכישתן החלה על ידי משה סמילנסקי בשנות ה-30, והושלמה על ידי הקרן הקיימת בתחילת שנות ה-40. הנקודה יועדה לקבוצת אברהם של הקיבוץ הדתי אולם בנובמבר 1942 שוכנעה קבוצת אברהם להתיישב בכפר עציון שיישובה נחשב לדחוף יותר, והנקודה הועברה לידי קבוצת ניר חיים. בקיבוץ נמצא מוזיאון המים והביטחון בנגב, המתאר את פרשת מציאת המים באזור.
