Description: The Negev Museum of Art is located in a complex where buildings that served as the Governors House and the Great Mosque are located. The governors house is a building that was used by the Ottoman governor and was built in 1906

שם: באר שבע מוזיאון הנגב לאמנות
תיאור: מוזיאון הנגב לאמנות שוכן במתחם בו ממוקמים מבנים אשר שמשו כבית המושל והמסגד הגדול, וביניהם רחבת דשא. בית המושל הוא מבנה ששימש את המושל העות'מאני ונבנה בשנת 1906, זאת כחלק מקבוצת מבני שלטון הכוללים את מבנה הסראיה (בית השלטון המרכזי) והמסגד הגדול.
הערות: מבנה בית המושל, המשמש כמשכנו של מוזאון הנגב לאמנות, הוא בן שתי קומות. הוא מעוטר בחזיתו באכסדרה בעלת שלוש קשתות מחודדות. חלקו הפנימי אופייני למבנה הקרוי "קונאק": ביתו של מושל או של אישיות חשובה אחרת, שבו נערכים גם מפגשים רשמיים וקבלות פנים.לאחר כיבוש העיר על ידי צה"ל במלחמת העצמאות שימש המבנה את צה"ל. עם היווסדה של העיר באר שבע, בשנת 1950, שימש המבנה כבית העירייה הראשון. בראשית שנות ה-70, הועברו משרדי העירייה ובית המושל שימש לעוד תפקידים עירוניים. ב-1987 נפתח בית המושל לתצוגת אמנות (ויקיפדיה)
