Name: Beer Sheva Museum of Islamic Culture
Description: The Great Mosque, located today in the museum complex in the Old City, was built in 1906 by the Ottomans, and was used by the local population for prayer. According to local historians, the mosque was never used in its role due to a curse placed on it near its construction.

שם: באר שבע המוזיאון לתרבות האסלאם ועמי המזרח
תיאור: המסגד הגדול, הממוקם כיום במתחם המוזאונים בעיר העתיקה , הוקם ב 1906 על ידי העות'מאניים, ושימש את האוכלוסייה המקומית לתפילה. על פי היסטוריונים מקומיים המסגד לא שימש בתפקידו מעולם בשל קללה שהושתה עליו סמוך הקמתו. (ויקיפדיה)
הערות: בשנים 1948–1953 שימש כבית מעצר וכבית משפט השלום, ולאחר שימש במשך שנים כ"מוזיאון הנגב לארכאולוגיה" ב 1953 הוקמה גרסתה השנייה של תצוגת המוזיאון על ידי הארכאולוג יוסף דובי. הוא נקרא אז "מוזיאון הנגב" ובו הוצגו הממצאים הארכאולוגיים שהתגלו בבאר שבע ובסביבתה. התצוגה נמשכה עד 2002. עקב מצבם של הממצאים ושל המבנה, הם נלקחו למחסני רשות העתיקות. בשנים 2008–2010 נעשו בבניין פעולות שימור ושיקום , הוועד המוסלמי בנגב ואחרים, ביקשו שהמסגד ישמש כבית תפילה.בג"צ הכריע יעוד המוזאון יוקדש לתרבות האסלאם ועמי המזרח.
