Description U.S. Sailors assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 28 and Marines from 2nd Marine Logistics Group build a playground at the Escuela Fiscal Mixta Cardenal Marcelo Spinola during a weeklong Southern Partnership Station 2011 community service project in Manta, Ecuador, Jan. 8, 2011. SPS is an annual deployment of U.S. ships to the U.S. Southern Command's area of responsibility in the Caribbean and Latin America involving information sharing with navies, coast guards and civilian services throughout the region.
