Description

This is at the VFW/American Legion Post in Amargosa Valley, Nevada.

122-mm howitzer D-30 (GRAU index 2A18) is a Soviet howitzer that entered service in the late 1960s, replacing the M-30 122 mm howitzer. The D-30's longer barrel provides greater range than the M-30, while an unusual three-leg stabilising system allows for rapid traversal of the gun through 360 degrees. Although no longer manufactured in FSU nations the D-30 is widely in service in more than 60 countries' armed forces.
