English: Standard MTA Helvetica sign along the Poughkeepsie-bound platform below the vicinity of the 1930-built Lunn Terrace Bridge over the Metro-North Hudson Line at the Cold Spring Metro-North Railroad station in Cold Spring, New York. Lunn Terrace provides a connection for motorists between the east and west side of historic Cold Spring, whose Main Street has been bisected by the former New York Central Railroad Hudson Division since the late-1920's, and has had a pedestrian tunnel connecting the two sides of the street since 1929. Metro-North's replacement of the former New York Central Depot, which includes the pedestrian bridge just out of view on the left, has not diminished the use of either old connection. |
