Symbolism Shield The colors oriental blue and silver gray are traditionally associated with military intelligence units. The lightning flash is symbolic of speed in accumulating accurate information necessary to achieve the total military preparedness. The stylized clouds allude to the unit's capabilities and goals: to strive twenty-four hours a day to pierce enemy intelligence lines effectively and provide the information necessary for total preparedness.
