| Description | 141206-N-WY954-122:GULF OF ADEN (Dec. 6, 2014) An MV-22 Osprey Tiltroter aircraft assigned to Marine Medium Tiltroter Squadron 163 (Reinforced), displays static lights during night-vision device flight operations aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8). The Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group and the embarked 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (11th MEU) are deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
