MEDITERRANEAN SEA (July 7, 2017) Seaman Madison Ankrom completes a successful takedown after being sprayed with oleoresin capsicum during a basic security reaction force course aboard the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Mesa Verde (LPD 19), July 7, 2017. The ship is deployed with the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group and 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit to support maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 6th Fleet and U.S. 5th Fleet areas of operations.
