LOS ANGELES (April 19, 2018) Boatswain’s Mate Seaman Hung Vu, a member of the Navy Operational Support Center Los Angeles Color Guard, parades the colors during the Battleship USS Iowa Museum’s memorial marking the anniversary of the death of 47 Sailors aboard the USS Iowa. On April 19, 1989, the Sailors were killed when a gun turret exploded aboard the USS Iowa. Former crew members, family and friends gathered aboard the Battleship USS Iowa Museum to pay their respects to their fallen comrads.
