Description1885 - Black Bear Hotel.jpg	English: The Black Bear Hotel at 835 West Hamilton Street, about 1885 Established in 1868, the hotel had a livery stable in the rear and also had the car barn for the Allentown Street Railway Company. Taken over in 1890 and became the "Grand Central Hotel". Note the Däufer beer company advertisements, the brewery being located less than a block away at 16 South 8th Street. Also the horses for the Allentown streetcar trolleys were stabled though that alley in the back of the hotel. The trolley cars were also, you can see the tracks that run though the alley in the photo where they were kept at night.
