English: "Closing the Gates on War", statuary group by Vivien Mallock (b. 1945) unveiled on June 17th, 2015 by H.R.H. Prince Charles in the frame of the Waterloo 200 commemorations, erected in front of the crucial northern gate (whose lintel is seen on the right of this photo ►(File:18_June_1815_–_Waterloo_–_Hougoumont._To_the_Victims_of_the_napoléonic_régime.jpg)).

The brand new door ►(File:18_June_1815_–_Waterloo_–_Hougoumont._The_northern_gate,_closed_to_the_assaillant.jpg) has been mounted for the said June 2015 commemorations of the 18 June 1815 Victory of Waterloo, as part of the thorough restoration of the farm – essentially thanks to United Kingdom.

Closing the gates at Hougoumont is also a celebrated 1903 painting by Robert Gibb (1845-1932), ►([1]), National Museum of Scotland.
