Summary edit

Description
English: Tablet erected in May 2019 to accompany a young chestnut tree – and next to the three ancient chestnut trees having witnessed the 18 June 1815 bloodshed of the Hougoumont Farm.

The tablet reads :
In remembrance of the men that fell at Hougoumont on the 18th of June 1815, this chestnut tree, symbol of the wood that stood here, was planted to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the birth of the Duke of Wellington.
