Summary edit

Description
English: The information board reads : To the memory of Colonel Sir H.W. Ellis 23 Reg R. Welch Fusiliers. Killed in action at Waterloo 18 June 1815.

The tomb of Colonel Ellis (died from his wounds on June 20th) was first placed in the small parochial cemetery, created in 1805.
The cemetery was enlarged a few times until the creation of a larger one in the 1930s, where the local graves were moved. The British graves were saved and, along with fragments of tablets, are now in the backyard of the Wellington Museum ► (File:18 June 1815 – Victory at Waterloo – Duke of Wellington's Headquarter.jpg) created in 1955 and enlarged step by step up to the mid-1980's (so far).

Colonel H.W. Ellis's tomb is now located at the eastern edge of the Museum's backyard. The text is now faint and uneasy to decipher.
