Italiano: Articolo pubblicato sul settimanale satirico Gedeon di Madrid col titolo "El inocente Herode" che allude all'assassino di Vicenta Verdier (1870-1907) vittima del famoso "Crimen de la calle de Tudescos" del 13.6.1907, rimasto impunito grazie al potere del denaro (vedi l'oro portato da uno dei Re Magi) e alle connivenze politiche (vedi la caricatura del mausoleo di Francisco Pi y Margall (1804-1901) (*) in cui la salma venne traslata il 23.6.1907) che avrebbero messo a tacere non solo la stampa (eh Eugenio...? riferito a Eugenio Sainz Romillo) ma anche le autorità preposte a identificare l'assassino ("A Millan Astray [jefe superior de policia] se le escapan los inocentes y los culpables").

(*) Il riferimento a Francisco Pi y Margall si fa più escplicito nell'articolo di Arturo Trotonda del 19.1.1933 pubblicato su El Imparcial di Madrid: Llegò el verano de 1908, y nuestro entrañable “amigo” el juez del distrito del Centro señor Torres, que habia sustituido en el cargo a don Ramiro Cores, sintiò deseo de descansar, y en uso de permiso se marchò de Madrid, siendo sostituido por el juez municipal don Angel de la Guardia, yerno del gran republico don Francisco Pi y Margall. Traduzione: Arrivò l’estate del 1908 e il nostro caro “amico” il giudice del distretto del Centro signor Torres, che aveva sostituito nell’incarico il sig. Ramiro Cores, sentì il desiderio di riposarsi e con una licenza partì da Madrid, essendo sostituito dal giudice municipale sig. Angel de la Guardia, genero del grande repubblicano Francisco Pi y Margall.
