Ernst und dem später missbrauchten Spruch Am Fuß des Werkes der Hinweis In der Bildmitte das Bismarck-Denkmal in Hamburg, links und rechts daneben ein zeitgenössischer Blick über die Alster und die Elbe. Das ganze wird umrahmt von den Ergebnissen der Hamburger Samenzuchthandlung wie Gemüse-Sorten und Blumen.
