Description 1939 Packard V-12 Rumble Seat Coupe. body 1238

“1939 was the final year of the famed Packard V-12 engine which had been introduced in 1934. This 68,360 original-mile car was very first V-12 off the the line for 1939 and features special dual side-mount spares, rumble seat, driving lights, radio and luggage rack.“

Back in February I was told I had to schedule some vacation before July, At about the same, an article appeared on the Hemmings blog about the first ever joint meeting of AACA (Anitique Automobile Club of America) and CCCA (Classic Car Club of America) in Auburn, Indiana. It was too good of opportunity to pass up two car clubs and all of the automotive history packed into Auburn, Indiana. Since I was driving from Minnesota, I made a slight detour to see the Gilmore Car Museum on the way to Indiana.
