Deutsch: Mitten im Zweiten Weltkrieg, am 20. April 1941, fotografierte der Amateur-Fotograf und Komponist Theodor Krüger vor seinem Haus in Celle, Am Heiligen Kreuz 27 seinen Sohn, den Soldaten Walter Krüger, hier mit dessen Ehefrau Erna, geborene Mohrbotter, und deren beider Tochter Ilse. Unter der Fotografie ist auf Pappe ein handschriftlicher Zettel aufgeklebt:

„Im 2. Weltkriege, am 20.4.41, fuhr mein Sohn, Walter Krüger, zum letzten Male von Celle ab. Aus diesem Anlaß schrieb ich seiner Tochter Ilse, die beim Abschied auf dem Bahnhof so bitterlich weinte, diese Worte. Marie Krüger“
