Sbraci in Ermini at 1948 Firenze-Fiesole

Summary

edit
Description
English: Siro Sbraci in a 1948 model Ermini "Grand Prix" Sport at the 1948 Firenze-Fiesole on 25 April.
This car was one of 2 ordered by Sbraci. This one was raced by Sbraci and the other by Pasquale Ermini himself. Both were built for track racing, and competed locally and regionally (some victories), but Ermini in the "sister car" had a terrible accident at Cascine in Firenze, killing 5 people.
The cars were built on a tubular chassis by Gilco of Milano. Body made in a "torpedo" style (open 2-seater) in aluminum by Tafani Guido of Firenze. A 82 hp 1,089 ccm Fiat engine with a special aluminum head made by Ermini. Two overhead camshafts, wet sump lubrication. 4-speed gearbox. Very light, around 540 kilo. Source: www.erminiautomobili.it
Apparently, this car still exists, painted red with race number #52 in white. The source ([1]) specifies chassis number 10-6610, confirmed by Luzzago.[2]
