Summary edit
Description1951 Allard K-2 in Black, dashboard (Greenwich 2021).jpg |
English: The dashboard of a 1951 Allard K-2 on display at the 2021 Greenwich Concours d'Elegance. This one was manufactured on July 10, 1950 and was delivered to Import Motor Car Company in New York City; it is presumed that it was intended for display at the 1951 New York Motor Show. The car was left-hand drive with black bodywork and red leather interior, and was prepared for fitment of a 331 cubic-inch Cadillac engine. The powertrain was installed in NY and remains in the car, although it has been fitted with an Edelbrock dual quad intake, Chris Nelson camshaft, Thomas Magnum rockers, a Bill Frick "Fordillac" transmission adapter, headers and stainless steel side pipes, Offenhauser valve covers, and a Borg Warner T-10 four-speed manual transmission. The fourth owner also switched out the original leather interior in favor of green leather. |
