中文：此照片為1956年國防部長俞大維偕中美高級將領前往高登島，並訪視前哨高射炮陣地之景象，照片採黑白印刷，為中央通訊社記者所拍攝，藏品目前收錄於中央通訊社影像網頁空間中。1956年8月4日，國防部長俞大維，美第七艦隊司令殷格索中將（ADMIRAL STUART H. INGERSOLL）偕中美高級軍事官員7人抵達馬祖，除了參觀防守部隊火網演習外，並前往距離大陸僅九千公尺的高登島。當時的國防部長俞大維，曾任中華民國第六任與第八任國防部部長，在其任期內發生一江山島戰役、大陳島撤退、八二三炮戰等兩岸關係歷史上重要的事件，時常親赴前線，更曾在八二三炮戰中負傷。
