English: 1957 Ferrari 500 TRC Testa Rossa Competizione (0692 MDTR) at the Musée Matra in Romorantins, France. It has a 1,985cc inline-four with 190PS at 7000rpm, enough for a 245km/h top speed. This car, one of seventeen built, was originally purchased by Adrian Conan Doyle - son of the creator of Sherlock Holmes. It has bodywork by Scaglietti and was on loan from the Schlumpf collection. It was raced by Jo Siffert and Liebl in the 1000km Nürburgring race, where it finished 15th. |
