| Description |
Replacing the A70 Hereford, the Westminster was introduced in 1954 with new unibody construction. The only BMC car to have a horizontal grille. The Westminster was a 6 cyl car, with 7 bars in the grille, side chrome and fog lights, whereas the similar Cambridge were all 4 cyl cars with 6 bars in the grille, shorter in length and smaller wheels. The first of them was the 1954-56 A90, replaced by the A95 and A105, (the A105,more powerful with twin carbs) they got a new grille and two tone paint. A badge engineered version was sold in Australia as the Morris Marshall. Replaced in 1959 by the new Farina shaped A99. Engine; 2639cc 6 cyl (same engine as the Healey 100-6) |
