Description La iglesia de Araguás. Cuenta una historia que en el siglo XVI, cuando Araguás como gran parte de los pueblos de esta parte del Alto Aragón formaban parte de las posesiones del monasterio de San Victorián, uno de los abades de dicho monasterio solía optar por la extorsión como método para cobrar sus tributos, y enviaba forajidos a sueldo a sembrar el miedo entre los habitantes de sus tierras. Cuenta la historia que, un mal día de ese siglo, Araguás fue atacado por una banda de estos lacayos en busca de tributos quienes incendiaron las casas del lugar. Los moradores del pueblo corrieron a esconderse dentro de esta iglesia, desde donde orientados por su capellán, rezaron y rezaron para que los forajidos jamás consiguieran entrar en el templo. Los maleantes intentaron vanamente incendiar el templo también, pero gracias a las pregarias de quienes se encontraban dentro pasaron las horas y les todos sus esfuerzos fueron vanos, hasta que finalmente tuvieron que marcharse sin ver satisfechas sus pretensiones.
