English: 1965 Rambler Ambassador 880 two-door sedan finished in red. Built by American Motors Corporation (AMC), the Ambassador line for 1965 represented a shift in the automaker's ideology. From primarily focusing on fuel-efficient vehicles, the Ambassador became bigger and more luxurious. Yet, the Ambassador line included 880 models that were the new economy leaders most likely for fleet customers. The 990 and 990-H versions proved to be vastly more popular. The two-door sedan was only available in the base 880 trim and also saw the lowest production numbers. This car has aftermarket alloy road wheels. These photographs were taken during the 2017 American Motors Owners (AMO) convention that was held in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. This show was organized by the Potomac Ramblers Club. |
