The ADO16 was styled on the Mini with front wheel drive, it came in many rebadged versions, the 1st, in 1962, the Morris 1100, the similar Austin 1100 in 1963, the twin carb MG 1100 and top of the line Vanden Plas later in 1962 and finally, the upmarket Riley and Wolseley in 1965. So the Mk I MG 1100 was introduced in 1962, initially only a 2 door, soon the 4 door was available too.
