Description
English: The Radio 99 WIBG Pro-Stock Gremlin, and several other AMCs, waiting for their turn at the drag strip. This customized 1972 AMC Gremlin is a historic professional dragster that was driven by Rich LaMont and sponsored by radio station 99 WIBG broadcasting in Philadelphia, PA. This car RUNS the quarter-mile at around 8.75 seconds achieving over 150 mph (240 kph). This Pro-Stock racer is restored, period correct, and raced regularly. Photograph taken at Potomac Ramblers automobile club's 2011 "All AMC Drag Race Day" held at the Capitol Raceway, a NHRA sanctioned, 1/4 mile, asphalt and concrete, drag strip located in Crofton, Maryland.
