Description

By the time the Jalpa was ready to be shown to the public, Ferruccio had already sold his share of Lamborghini, now known as Nuovo Automobili Lamborghini SpA, and a lot of new ideas were beginning to emerge from Sant'Agata.

The Jalpa, named for another breed of fighting bull, was introduced at the 1981 Geneva Motor Show, with the first production models on sale from 1982.

Price as listed in 1983 was $58,000 US and by th end of its production run in 1988 had risen to $65,000 US. Only 410 Jalpas were built during its production life.
