Description
Deutsch: 19.09.1987 DDR 1921 [16945] Stepenitz: Klosterkirche (GMP: 53.319108,12.143825) der ehemaligen Zisterzienserinnen-Abtei Marienfließ. Die Stifterfamilie, die Edlen Herren Gans zu Putlitz, verfolgte mit der Gründung im Jahr 1231 das strategische Ziel, die Grenze zum nahen Mecklenburg zu sichern. Die Kirche ist ein einschiffiger frühgotischer Backsteinbau (2. Hälfte 13. Jahrhundert). Chor mit Kreuzrippengewölbe. Die heutige Einrichtung der Kirche ist einheitlich neugotisch und stammt aus der Zeit um 1900, zu der der königliche Baurat Walther das Gebäude ausgestattet und ausgemalt hat. Aus dem Mittelalter hat sich kein Interieur erhalten. Lediglich einige Glasmalereien im Chorraum überdauerten bis zur heutigen Zeit. [R19870919B07.JPG]19870919330NR.JPG(c)Blobelt
