Description
English: From a tour of the Sutro Tower in San Francisco.

An engineer accompanied me on the very cramped elevator to the catwalk on Level 6, 762 feet above the ground. (He stayed in the elevator while I — son of a high steel construction worker and a lover of heights — scampered around.)

I'm guessing at the month I did this. I do know it was between 30 July 1990 (when the call letters KDBK came into use for the FM station on 98.9) and 6 January 1991 (when the call letters for the TV station on channel 38 ceased to be KWBB). I do remember it was hot and dry, which is typical of September in the Bay Area.
