Description

The Jaguar XJ220 was a two-seat sports car produced from 1992-94, in collaboration with the specialist automotive and race engineering company Tom Walkinshaw Racing. Just 282 were produced. Jaguar intended the XJ220 to be capable of winning LeMans the way its D-Type and C-Type predecessors had done. Although they hoped the top speed was going to be 220kmh, hence it's model designation, the XJ220 recorded a top speed of 212.3 mph during testing by Jaguar at the Nardo test track in Italy. This still made it the fastest production car from 1992-93 Engine; 542hp 3500cc twin turbo V6
