English: Private Brian Duncan of Fairfield, Sydney, NSW, tries out the PU 3.5 power telescopic sight on a Soviet made 91/30 sniper's rifle captured by the 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR), in an operation against the Viet Cong. The rifle, which was manufactured in Russia from 1942 and in Hungary after the Second World War, was one of more than a hundred weapons taken by the Australians from a vast Viet Cong underground tunnel complex uncovered during Operation Crimp. |
