Summary edit

Description

Great Eastern Railway 2-4-0T No. 0810. Originally one of the three Felixtowe Railway 2-4-0Ts built by Yorkshire Engine Co. This one was named 'Felixtowe' - the others being 'Tomline and 'Orwell', numbered 810, 809 & 808 respectively when brought into GER stock on Sept. 1st 1879, when the GER commenced running the line. The cipher prefixes were added in 1886 and all broken up in May 1888.

The number plate is typical GER but the number apears to have been allocated to another engine

This photo was taken from an old original photo we came across while helping to clear the house of a deceased friend. I have uploaded it to Flickr in the hope that it might be interesting to steam enthusiasts.
