Deutsch: 18.03.2006 01778 Lauenstein (Altenberg): Burg/Schloß (GMP: 50.784200,13.821239). Spätgotische Anlage, erbaut 14. und 15. Jahrhundert. Im Jahre 1464 erwarb der bürgerliche Montanunternehmer Hans Müntzer, der in Freiberg, Altenberg und in Graupen (Krupka) sehr wohlhabend geworden war, Lauenstein. Dessen Söhne Hans und Eberhard Müntzer ließen um 1480 den Westflügel des Schlosses und die Schloßkapelle errichten. Im Jahre 1808 wurde die Kapelle in ein Speisegewölbe mgewandelt. Später diente sie als Jagdzimmer und Abstellraum. Bis zu Bodenreform gehörte Lauenstein der gräflichen Familie von Hohenthal. Die an den Wänden angebrachten Konsolköpfe aus Sandstein entstanden um 1600 und dienten im Trompetersaal der Burg Lauenstein vermutlich als Gewölbeanfänger. Nachdem dieser Saal 1840 abgetragen worden war, kamen die Köpfe in die Schloßkapelle. Die Köpfe stellen wahrscheinlich die Mitglieder der Familie Bünau dar, die von 1517 bis 1821 im Besitz des Schlosses waren. Man nimmt an, daß die Köpfe ab 1563 von den Pirnaer Bildhauern Micheal Schwenke oder Lorentz Hörnigk geschaffen wurden. Die Kapelle wurde 1983/84 restauriert.
