Description
English: Late Medieval finger-ring, formed of a thin band, with a shallow oval setting for a stone (now missing). The shoulders are engraved with simple foliate designs. A comparable piece retaining a facetted stone is in the British Museum Collection (Dalton, No 1894).

The finger-ring is silver and dates from the early sixteenth century.

Consequently, in terms of age and as the object contains a minimum of 10% precious metal it qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996.
