Deutsch: 21.01.2007 01067 Dresden-Altstadt: Das Schauspielhaus Am Zwinger (GMP: 51.052196,13.731945) wurde von 1911 bis 1913 von William Lossow und seinem Schwiegersohn Max Hans Kühne im Stil des Neubarock und Jugendstil erbaut. Nach der Novemberrevolution und dem Abdanken des sächsischen Königs wurde das Königliche Hoftheater 1918 zum Sächsischen Landestheater und 1920 zum Sächsischen Staatstheater umbenannt. 1945 ausgebrannt. Bei der Wiederherstellung modernisiert. Im Hintergrund rechts der Dresdner Zwinger. Im Vorgergrund die sog. Käseglocke (GMP: 51.051081,13.732829) auf dem Postplatz. Nachdem 1811 das Wilsdruffer Tor abgebrochen worden war, entstand ein freier Platz, der ab 1865 als Postplatz benannt ist. Die "Käseglocke" war am 31.03.1928 als Straßenbahnwartehalle mit unterirdischer Toilette eröffnet worden. Nach der Überflutung beim Hochwasser im August 2002 wurde der unterirdische Teil zugeschüttet. Bis Mai 2005 war sie oberirdisch auch der Service-Pavillon der Verkehrsbetriebe, zentraler Treffpunkt und immer umlagert. Nach der anschließenden Umgestaltung des Postplatzes steht die Käseglocke weitab von den neuen Haltestellen hilflos herum. [DSCN20607.TIF]20070121200DR.JPG(c)Blobelt |
