Deutsch: 06.09.2007 01157 Dresden-Briesnitz: Areal "Alte Schmiede" im Ortskern von Briesnitz. Gaststätte "Alte Schmiede", Alte Meißner Landstraße 36 (GMP: 51.066680,13.673330). Schlußstein von 1820 (damals Haus Nr. 12). Die Infotafel am Haus Alte Meißner Landstraße 34 berichtet, daß die Alte Meißer Landstraße Teil der Fernstraße von Warschau nach Paris gewesen sei und die älteste Straße Europas wäre. Unter den Gebäuden führt ein alter gemauerter Kanal zur Elbe. Nach Hochwasserschäden sei das Grundstück von 1958 bis 1960 um 2 m aufgefüllt worden. Nach der Zeichnung führt der alte Kanal unter dem östlichen Teil des Hauses Nr. 34 hindurch. 5 m unter dem heutigen Straßenniveau liegt die alte gemauerte Bogenbrücke über dem Bachlauf des Borngrabens.
