Deutsch: 28.09.2008 01189 Dresden-Gittersee, Hermann-Michel-Straße 5: Bahnhof Gittersee (GMP: 51.005762,13.690476) der stillgelegten Windbergbahn. Eisenbahnfreunde führen Sanierungsarbeiten aus. Die Steilstrecke der auch als "Sächsische Semmeringbahn (R)" bekannten ersten deutschen Gebirgsbahn von der Talstation Freital-Birkigt nach Dresden-Gittersee ist eine große technische Meisterleistung des Eisenbahn- und Vermessungswesens ihrer Zeit. Die Strecke wurde in den Jahren 1855/56 nach den Plänen von Oberingeneuer Guido Brescius als Kohlenbahn projektiert und gebaut. Der Bahnhof Gittersee wurde im Jahre 1907 von den Königlich Sächsischen Staatseisenbahnen (K.Sächs.Sts.E.B.) [auch: K.S.S.E.B.] für den allgemeinen Güter- und Personenverkehr ausgebaut.
