Title
2008 T559 bezel
Description
English: A plain gold band with oval bezel, with empty setting, the setting with dogtooth border. The setting contains remains, possible of the original stone or an unidentified material. The dogtooth border was popular for ring setting over a long period in the later 17th and 18th centuries.

Without any more diagnostic features it is not possible to confirm that this is more than 300 years old.

The ring can not be securely dated to pre-1708 and as such falls outside the provisions of the Treasure Act 1996.
